Does anyone else feel overwhelmed  around this time of year?
Baseball games, teacher appreciation week, 8th grade graduation, all of the field trips for both boys, 8th grade dinner and dance, signing up the youngest for summer school, swim lessons, meeting w/new football coach for high school freshmen, weight training schedule,...
I'm not listing all of this stuff to brag. It seems we, as a society tend to brag about how busy we are. My big question is, how do mom's or dad's that both work outside of the home do it? I'm baffled. And mostly, in awe of those of you who do all of the above, AND work a 40hr job. My hat's off to all of you who pull it off.

Oh, and just one lil' scrappy set of tags here.

Back of the tag below. Room to put a special little greeting.

Hope everyone has a fabulous wednesday!

Graduation and school colors....

How was your weekend? We had our first baseball practice, lots of rain and even a bit of snow. Come on spring... we need your sunshine!

I've been working on a graduation line of items lately.Cards, scrapbook embellishments, gift bags and another centerpiece paper bouquet. These can all be customizable with your favorite school colors! Take a peek!

Love red and black. Funny thing is, I love making OTHER people's school colors. My highschool (ages ago) , our school colors were orange and black. halloween colors. I was never fond of them .  Always thought a bright baby blue and black would look so cool. Oh well, wear your school colors with pride.
What were yours?

Baby buggies, baby buggies, baby buggies....say that fast 5 times...

Tuesday morning and I think I'm still sleeping as I type this. So funny how the days you want to sleep in (like the whole week of the kids spring break) ... you're up at 6am anyways. And then days like today when you have to get up? You could have slept till noon! Ok, well, maybe not noon. I haven't been able to do that for 10 years, but, at least 8am!

Two shabby chic cards today. Or are they now calling it "cottage chic" ? Anyone know the difference? Well, it's a style that I adore, but have never been good at. I so love all of the paper crafters that do all the shabby and vintage cards and layouts. Here's my "attempt" at it. The lil' babies are cute at least. Hope you have a terrific day!

Happy Monday morning~ We had a wonderful week off for spring break. Sadly, in a bout 10 minutes I'll be waking my boys up for school  and it's back to the grind. Baseball starts today for my oldest, and my youngest should be starting swim lessons soon. Funny how fast the hours go by with all the activities!
2 cards, both made from doodlebug's "All boy" line.

Better get my day started! Hope everyone has a terrific week! I will be having my first blog giveaway starting THIS WEDNESDAY so be sure to come check it out !

Mother's Day card

A quick card this sunday morning for mother's day. Using the "My mind's eye" collectable line pattern papers. Heart is dry embossed. Inside is blank. For some reason I feel I don't do balance as well, when I'm out of my norm of "cute" papers.  Wish I could do more than just cute.
What are your plans this fine sunday? Laundry and scrapping are the hot ticket items here! Hope today is lovely~

I just love love making mother's day cards. I also love slapping together random bright whimsical patterns and see what comes out of it! I'm really going over board with my button flower but they're so fun and easy to make. A  punch, and a button. A monkey could do this!

Inside says "I'd pick you"
Next is a card using one of my favorite dry embossed embellishments. The little antique truck with a bunch of flowers in the back. Looks like they're coming back from the flower market.
Inside says "So happy you are mine! "

Too many patterns and I'm on pattern overload.
The floral and heart pattern paper is from DOODLEBUG of course, and the black poka dot and yellow poka dot is from BO BUNNY.
My two favorite scrapbooking companies!

Thanks for looking~

Mother's day is coming on fast! Made up some sweet little paper bouquets. The are just on simple picks. Buttons are from Joanns, picks from hobby lobby. The bucket I got from Target awhile back. The filler can be anything from m&m's, sixlets, skittles, or even white rice. The filler I have is from a floral store.  A bouquet that can last a life time! :)

Here's a few things I've been busy with today. I'm not the best at shabby chic, or "cottage chic" but I oh, so LOVE the look. So, I tried.  LOL. Top picture is some same sex wedding/shower/engagment cards I was asked to do. Kept it real simple and well... a towel bar with hearts? My normal "cute".
Hope you have a wonderful monday!

I'm "Buggin Out" today!

First of all, my oldest son turns 14 today! I'm still a little floored I have a 14 year old. Such a sweet kid, he takes after his mom. :)

Pinned Image

I've been busy making bugs! Cute bugs, bumble bees, boy bugs and love bugs! So much fun! And believe me... I'm not fond of most bugs. Except these lil' dudes and dudettes.  Hopefully they'll go over well!   Now I'm off to figure out something sweet for the birthday boy. He's not fond of cake and it would be a 30 minute drive to get some Krispy Kremes....  hmmm.... have a wonderful day~

Merry New Year! er somethin....

It's 2013! Just how productive have you been today, on this very 1st day of the new year? I actually got quite alot done. I also came up with this idea to start a new etsy shop which I call prettypennysacks. It started with those little merchandise bags you see people altering. Mom told me how, back in the 50's, those were the sacks she used to get her penny candy in. They are just cute, and adorable, and how could I not just "pretty" them up? So, we'll see how 2 etsy shops go. Got lots done in my first shop also with new valentine's day embellishments.

Other than that, watched part of the Husker Capital One Bowl. It looked promising but my Huskers just couldn't get it done this year. They lost to Georgia 31-45.  After the game, hubby and I took the boys to the movies to see Monsters, Inc. in 3D. Loved it! Doesn't matter that I have seen it a bazillion times, seeing it in 3D is SOOOO much better. Hayden even got a little teary-eyed when Sully had to say goodbye to Boo. We are such a disney family. (heart) :-)

So, what are YOUR scrapbooking goals this year? Have any? Tell me all about it! And as Tigger would say.... T.T.F.N.  .... Ta ta for now.
